Gardens of the World

Today, Mommy, Daddy, Irisa and I went to the Gardens of the World. It's a gigantic garden with gardens from all over the world!

Before we visited the gardens, we had a picnic lunch.

Irisa and I had fun playing in this fancy water garden.

We went to the Japanese Garden first. It has a real pagoda set in a Koi pond, and is surrounded by bamboo trees and a waterfall.

I'm meditating by the pagoda.

This is Mission Courtyard. It has a center fountain and murals of the missions on the walls surrounding the courtyard.

This is the French Garden. It has parterres (one in the shape of a butterfly and the other in a shape of the sub) and mazes and lots of magnificent water features. The fountain here is like one of the fountains at Versailles.

Irisa is walking under a grape arbor that connects the English Garden to the Italian Garden.

The English Garden has lots of roses,

and mazes, where we had fun playing tag.

And, the best for last... the Italian Garden with this cool fountain and Venus di Milo at the top!
