post Thanksgiving Feast

I've been a little sick since Thanksgiving Day, and really have not eaten much for the past three days. I just didn't feel hungry. Well, that all changed this morning. I woke up, and I was really hungry. I came downstairs, tapped Daddy on the back, and said, "I'M STARVING!!!"

Mommy asked me what I wanted for breakfast, and I told her grits, pancakes and bacon.

I ate, and ate, and ate, like I haven't eaten in days... three days to be exact...

So, maybe my eyes were a little bigger than my stomach... whatever! Looks like it's a feast day for Chica, too.

kids gone wild

All the Moms and Dads in the neighborhood decorated their houses and yards for Christmas today. While the parents were decorating, the kids were running wild in the streets! We ran from one house to another house, giving each house equal opportunity to get destroyed.

But, we didn't limit ourselves to just destroying houses...

We destroyed sidewalks....

and the streets as well!

You sure do work up an appetite running wild in the streets!

Pass the popcorn, please!

For Thanksgiving, I didn't have any turkey... just the flu! I woke up last night at 12:30 am, not feeling so good. I tossed and turned in Mommy's bed, and then I got sick, really sick, all over the bathroom floor. When I woke up this morning, I still did not feel very good. I wanted to play and have fun with everyone, but all I could do was sleep. And I sure did sleep... all day long. This began a new holiday tradition...

skipping all the turkey with the fixings, and saving all my room for some sweet, buttered popcorn!

pre Thanksgiving Feast

Today at school we had our Thanksgiving Feast. Each room had special blankets to sit down on.

I invited Irisa to sit next to me with my class. She did not have any trouble making herself at home... she squeezed right between me and Rohan. While we sang our song, Irisa was a good listener.

I introduced Irisa to all my friends. I told everyone, "This is my sister. She's two." I bet they all wished they had a little sister like me.

When it was time to eat, I saved a spot for Irisa right next to me. It was fun having Irisa visit with me at school. She was a good girl, and I was a very good host!

What do good boys get?

Guess who got new games??? (Me, Charles.) I know it must seem like I'm always getting new games and stuff, but I do have a little sister to put up with, and I did have a little accident in my Hummer yesterday, so it's all pretty balanced out! Daddy and I struck a deal... if I'm a good boy at school, and I'm nice to my sister, and I listen to Mommy and Daddy, then I can get new games. When I have a new game to play, it's usually very quiet around here. I'm very occupied and focused on the game, and coincidently, not hitting Irisa... see how I'm working the system???

all day Daddy

On Fridays, Daddy is home with me and Irisa. He always has BIG, action packed adventures for us. I anxiously await the answer to my question, "What do I have today?" First, we go to the back doctor. Daddy needs to go the back doctor because of carrying me and Irisa around so much. While he's getting worked on, me and Irisa get to play with all the toys that are in the doctor's office. I guess this is a popular place for waiting kids...
Next, we go to the car dealership where Daddy's car gets an oil change. Here, me and Irisa sit in the big reclining chairs and watch a movie while snacking on cookies and popcorn. Hey, another kid friendly place...
Next, we go to the park...
where I swing and swing and swing...
until it gets late, and then we go home. After a long day with Daddy, we all sleep pretty good!

after a hard day's work

When I get home from school in the evening, I like to relax and get comfortable. I kick of my shoes, ask for a glass of milk, and take a load off in my Spiderman lounge chair. Irisa is so happy to see me, she smothers me with kisses, and even puts away my shoes! (She's going through a weird tidying up stage.) While I am relaxing, I usually unwind by watching a little TV or playing a game. Right now, my favorite shows are Sponge Bob Squarepants and Tom and Jerry. My favorite game is Flushed Away. Sometimes, I repeat the not-so-nice words I hear on the cartoons (like the st#*id word) or try to act out the fighting moves from the games. Mommy says, "Charles, that's not a nice word to say." and "Charles, don't karate kick your sister in the head." (just kidding... Actually, I can't reach her head yet!) Mommy is a little concerned about all the violence I see in the cartoons and in the games. But, Daddy tells Mommy, "He's just being a boy. I grew up watching Tom and Jerry, and look at me... I turned out just fine." Thanks, Daddy... you got my back!

Welcome to Room 1

Wanna see my classroom and know what I am learning in school? This is our classroom calendar. We practice the months, days of the week, and all the numbers.
This is my best friend Zaron. I have lots of friends at school, but he is my best friend. I met him at school last year. We both love cars! And, when we are together, we have this funny, crazy way of talking.
We made harvest wreaths. We picked the seeds from a sunflower bud that was dried and harvested last year.
I learned that the word harvest means "to pick" and that the foods we harvest are those that grow on trees and plants. My favorite vegetable is a carrot.
We talked about all the things that we are thankful for...
I am thankful for my family.

Golden Lightning: Final Game

By Soccer Expert
Times Staff Writer

Saturday morning, top ranked Golden Lightning (featuring newly signed Charles Angelo) edged out their competition, the Vicious Vipers, before a cheering crowd (including Amo and Papa) at Pepperfield Stadium.

Lightning fast Charles demonstrated his powerful, goal scoring kick-off, unheard of in the U5 division.

Charles assisted team mate Jace in scoring this goal.
Charles played defense like a natural.
And he was on fire playing offense.
Charles' quick speed allowed him to get down the field to the opposing team's goal, and stop them from scoring.
After scoring a goal, Charles goes to get a high five from Coach Jeff.
This was Charles' first season playing AYSO soccer. But, by the looks of it, this rookie has "superstar" written all over him!

The team celebrated their season with a pizza party, where they all received cool trophies. Awesome season, Golden Lightning!

On top of spaghetti

Guess what? I made dinner last night. Guess what I made? Meatballs! Amo helped me. First, we got some milk and bread. Then some meat. I grated some cheese. Amo put in the egg, garlic and onion. Then, I got to roll the balls. I made little meatballs for me and Irisa...
and big meatballs for Mommy, Daddy and Amo.
Here are my meatballs, on top of spaghetti!
The best part was eating my meatballs. They were good. Actually, they were really good.

Daddy said they were the best meatballs he has ever eaten! On top of spaghetti, all covered with cheese. I lost my poor meatballs when Daddy got home...

I'm new at this...

Hey there, Charles here! I'm four years old, and this is my first time blogging. I thought it was about time that I started to chronicle my life, especially in these early years. My memory is good, but can you believe that I have already forgotten the first few years of my life? That sucks! So, I decided I better start writing things down, so I can remember all the cool stuff that happens in my life. I will also post some pictures, too, so when I'm really old, I can remember what I looked like when I was a little kid.
Here I am at the park, one of my favorite places. I usually run into a friend or two here. If not, I make new friends, play with my sister, or sometimes just play by myself. Either way, I love going to the park!
