First Day of Kindergarten

7:15 am... time to rise and shine for my first day of Kindergarten!

Here's my new lunch box that I got at our last Dodger's game.

Amo made my lunch... ham sandwich, cheese, carrots and celery, strawberries and milk.

I got dressed in my new clothes... new shirt, new shorts, new socks, new shoes... even new underwear!

Grabbed my bag, and I'm ready to walk to school.

All the Kindergarteners have the same school bag that we hang up on our hooks when we get to school.

Here's my teacher... Miss K. I was wishing that she would be my teacher... and my wish came true!

When the bell rang, I was the first one in the line. Oops... I forgot to kiss Mommy and Daddy goodbye... oh, well... they'll live!

Look what was waiting for me when I got home from my first day of Kindergarten. Thanks, Amo! Amo and Irisa are going to be pretty lonely without me around all day. I guess they'll pass their time shopping!

And after dinner, this was my surprise special treat!

Yeah, school is cool!

My Last Saturday

On Wednesday, I start my first day of Kindergarten. So, Saturday was my last Saturday before school... my last official Saturday of summer vacation. And I got to spend the day however I wanted to!

Of all my favorite things to do, I picked miniature golfing for today.

There's an arcade there, too.

Then, to our favorite Mexican restaurant for some margaritas and dinner.

Then, across the street for some ice cream for dessert.

And then some games before bath and bed! What a great last Saturday before school!

I'm the piano man

So, we got a piano. Don't ask me how... All I know is that one day we didn't have a piano. The next day, Mommy sees this one on the sidewalk. And a few days after that, it was in our house! Anyways, it's a great new addition to our house... kinda makes it compete. I'm going to start taking piano lessons when I'm 7 years old. Until then, I'm having fun composing my own songs.

This is Big

We're going to the Dodgers game tonight. They are playing the Giants. Barry Bonds is at 754 home runs. He needs one more to tie Hank Aaron's record of 755. Maybe we'll see some history makin' record breakin' baseball tonight! This could be BIG!

I'm an Otter!

I started swim lessons on Monday. I'm in the Otters class.

First, we do some head dunks to get used to the water.

Next, we practice our swim strokes. I'm doing freestyle here. We are also learning the butterfly and backstroke.

We have to swim the whole length of the pool, which is about 25 yards.

Next, we practice our diving. I need a little more practice on this!

We practice our kicking... I'm in the lead...

And for the finale...

jumping off the diving board. Yesterday, for the first time ever, I jumped off the HIGH high board!!! I was a little bit scared, but I did it! It was so much fun! On Monday and Tuesday, I jumped off the LOW high board. But after class on Tuesday, I told Mommy that I wanted to jump off the HIGH high board, and that's exactly what I did!

It was so much fun, I did it again!
